Tanzania is best visited in the dry season during the period of June to October and December to January. Because that is the time when it is little or no rainfall in the National parks.
There for vegetation will be less and wild animals will gather around the water sources to drink water. Which helps you to have great wildlife views and also view the great wildebeest migration.
National Parks in Tanzania can also be visited during the wet season in the months of March to May and November. Because this is the best time for bird watching where you will be able to view migratory bird species.
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Serengeti National Park is the most visited national park in Tanzania due to abundant wildlife and the great Wildebeest migration. The great Wildebeest migration involves the migration of thousands of wildebeests, Zebras, Thomson’s Gazelle from Serengeti National Park to Kenya through the Mara river in search of fresh grazing.
This awe-inspiring event is one of the last mass terrestrial animal movements left on the planet – the herds are so big they can be observed from space!
June to October is an excellent time to see the wildebeest migration in the Serengeti at its best. December to March is a beautiful time to see the wildebeest calving.
